About Us

We are SIMULA: Simulation Laboratory for Health Science Education. Our goal is to transform health sciences education in the Philippines by promoting and advancing simulation-based education (SBE) as a cornerstone for experiential learning.

Through collaborative efforts, innovative teaching modules, and the establishment of standards, we aim to enhance the capabilities of students and healthcare professionals, ultimately improving patient care.

Objectives:

  • Module Creation
Develop SBE-centered teaching modules tailored for various disciplines within the health sciences, providing students with a safe and effective environment to practice clinical skills.
  • Equipment Standards
Establish comprehensive standards for the utilization of simulation equipment in health sciences education. This ensures consistency and quality across institutions, promoting best practices in SBE.
  • Training and Development
Facilitate ongoing training and staff development programs to empower educators and healthcare professionals in integrating SBE into pre-clinical instructional design.
  • Research Collaboration
Foster research initiatives that contribute to the optimization of SBE, leveraging insights to continually enhance teaching methodologies and educational outcomes.

This project is made possible through the support of the Commission on Higher Education Leading the Advancement of Knowledge in Agriculture and Sciences (CHED-LAKAS) program.
